SPRC: Recommendations for Local Suicide Prevention Infrastructure

These recommendations were developed to help local settings—such as municipalities, counties, and Tribal governments—establish, improve, and sustain a strong local suicide prevention infrastructure. The recommendations are adapted from SPRC’s Recommendations for State Suicide Prevention Infrastructure. Appendices include a glossary of suicide prevention terms and a list of resources related to each infrastructure area.

Community-Based Suicide Prevention for Local Health Departments

This online course from the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) aims to help local health departments implement community-based suicide prevention and advance the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. Along with examples from local health departments, the course includes a focus on partnerships, upstream prevention, lethal means safety, and crisis response and postvention planning. You will need to create a free login to access the course.
